WGSA names team for The Spirit

The top 20 countries which participated in the WATC in 2008 in Australia have once again been invited to The Spirit, a 72 hole four ball stroke play tournament which includes three concurrent team competitions. This popular event will be played once again at Whispering Pines, Texas from 5 to 8 November 2009.

The competitions include the International Team – the four ball score for both the women’s and men’s team will be combined after each round to compute the International Team Score and the country with the lowest combined score at the conclusion of the competition will be declared the International Champion; the Women’s Team – four ball stroke play; and the Men’s Team – four ball stroke play.

Individual Honours – due to the fourball stroke play format, only the number of birdies and eagles made by each player will be counted to determine individual women and men honours.

Commemorative medals (Gold, Silver and Bronze ) will be awarded to the top three places in all competitions.
