UPDATE – All-Africa Junior Golf Challenge Round 1

Reigning Sanlam SA Amateur champion Christo Lamprecht and the country’s top ranked amateur Garrick Higgo launched South Africa’s hunt for a 19th consecutive All-Africa Junior Golf Challenge title at Royal Harare Golf Club in Zimbabwe this morning.
The pair set off on the 10th tee, while Luca Filippi and Jayden Schaper will start their campaign against Reunion and the host nation from the first tee.
According to team manager Eden Thompson, the course is in good nick, but playing quite long as a result of rain recently. “The greens are running great, but the rough is very thick and will undoubtedly be the undoing of anyone trying to overpower the course,” Thompson said.
Unfortunately there will be no live scoring for this event, but we will do our best to keep you updated with daily reports.
