Top five finish for Rebula at North & South USA

South African junior Jovan Rebula claimed a top five finish in the prestigious Junior North and South Championship in the United States.
Rebula, one of two just two international starters in the field, rallied for a share of fifth on three-over-par 219 in the 36th edition of the world class international junior championship.
The Ernie Els and Fancourt Foundation member from George shared the lead after an opening three-under-par 69 at the Number Eight course at Pinehurst in North Carolina, but dropped well out of contention after a second round 78.
The 16-year-old Southern Cape golfer negated two bogeys in the final round with birdies at the 10th and 17th holes to close with an even-par 72 and claim a share of fifth.
Local favourite Kocher added rounds of 74 and 68 for a four stroke victory over Pinehurst’s Josh Martin on five-under-par 211.
