Swaziland golfer tops WGSA Rankings

With Sports Science as her major, she has one more year at the University of Pretoria before going to “Q” school in December 2013. A member of Centurion and under the tutelage of her coach, Llewellyn, she has swept the board in Provincial Tournaments this year. Her first stop was winning the Eastern Cape Stroke and Match Play. She has added another five provincial titles to her impressive bag during the year, as well as winning the prestigious Sanlam SA Amateur Stroke Play at Umhlali.

With her father, a professional golfer, as her coach Nobuhle started playing at the age of 12. Recognising the education and golf opportunities offered in South Africa, he sent her off to Summit School in Kyalami. Sponsored by family friends, Elsabe and Arthur Horne who run Junior Golf Development in Swaziland, Nobuhle has more than repaid their confidence in her. She admits to being frustrated at not being able to represent the country that has given her so many opportunities and that she has grown to love. Nobuhle is determined to retain her position at the top of the rankings in 2013.
