Added to these Stone won the SA Boys Stroke Championship at Nelspruit Golf Club earlier in the year which shows that he is, in the years to come, going to be a player to be reckoned with.
Riekus Nortje, a local Southern Cape boy, closed with a 68, to add to his rounds of 71, 70 and 72 to finish in a tie for second place with fellow Southern Cape player Erik van Rooyen. Nortje, who represented South Africa twice during the year, has yet to win an Amateur tournament but has come close on many occassions and it all just a matter of time. Erik van Rooyen, who was moving up on the SAGA rankings last year until he went over the play college golf in Minnesota.
