Stone wins 2012 Sanlam Cape Province Open

Even though drenching rain tested the ability of the players as they battled to complete the first round the scoring at the Sanlam Cape Province Open was still good due to the good weather for the remainder of the Tournament.

Brandon Stone, with scores of 70 64 and 68 went into the final round leading by one shot from Haydn Porteous who was 4 under on 212. Brandon closed with a 66 securing him the victory on a final score of 277 (11under) from Haydn Porteous who closed with a 68 for 280.

Leonard Loxton, who is responsible for Talent Management for the Titleist/Footjoy brand in South Africa finished 3rd on 283 (5 under), showing that he has talent of his own. Loxton was followed by Michael Loppnow on 289 and the local boy, Shaun Smith, in 5th place as he continues his consistent form which has seen him move up the SAGA rankings to 5th overall.
