Southern Cape Open

In a rain affected tournament Justin Harding (Boland) put his experience from US College golf to good effect in winning the 2006 Southern Cape Open.

Justins 54 hole total of -8 was three better then current SA squad player Christiaan Basson with team mate Charl Coetzee a further shot back. Alpheus Kelapile returned another strong performance ending 4th on -2.

The other players in the SA quad George Coetzee, David Hewan and Jbe Kruger finished the tournament at +1 with Branden Grace finishing back on +7. The SA squad of six players who have just completed their training camps at DeZalze and Stellenbosch in the lead up to the 2006 Eisenhower will now await the naming of the side.
