Smith takes last spot in Glacier Series Final

The Glacier Junior Series wrapped up its qualifying tournaments with the Compleat Golfer Tournament at Humewood Golf Club on Sunday.

The A Division title went to Humewood’s own Jacques Smith, who won by two strokes with a round of 76. Smith will be playing in his third National Final.

Royal Port Alfred’s Wian van Aswegen had to again settle for second place for the second year running as he signed for a 78.

This was the last of the 21 nationwide qualifying tournaments on this year’s Glacier Junior Series. The winners of the A Divisions of the various tournaments have now all qualified to play in the National Final at Vaal de Grace golf estate in Parys from 7-9 October.
