Growing the game. Building the nation.
Introducing the SAGDB GolfSixes League
The SAGDB GolfSixes League, organized by the South African Golf Development Board (SAGDB) in partnership with GolfRSA and supported by the R&A, aims to spark a love for golf among junior beginner players across South Africa.
Each region in the country, overseen by dedicated managers, hosts its own GolfSixes League aimed at nurturing talent among underprivileged children.
The league features an engaging Texas Scramble Format, designed to promote teamwork and camaraderie among participants. With between 2 to 5 teams per region, the league provides ample opportunities for young golfers to gain valuable playing experience in a supportive environment.
Through GolfRSA’s collaboration with SAGDB and the support from the R&A, the GolfSixes League introduces kids to golf in a fun and inclusive way. The league not only promotes physical activity but also instils essential life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
As the leagues continue to grow, GolfRSA remains dedicated to expanding its reach and impact, ensuring that more young South Africans have access to the transformative benefits of golf. The SAGDB GolfSixes League stands as a testament to the power of sport in fostering personal growth and community development among junior beginner players, supported by the R&A’s commitment to developing grassroots golf worldwide.
Join us in celebrating the achievements of these young golfers as they tee off towards a brighter future through the SAGDB GolfSixes League.
