SAGA teams announced

DURBAN (4 March 2008) – The South African Amateur Golf Association (SAGA) announced its team for the Zone VI Championship as well as the squad for the World Amateur Team Championship at Royal Durban Golf Club on Tuesday.

In qualifying for the teams, players had to compete in at least two coastal and two inland tournaments, one of which had to be the SA Stroke Play, Glacier SA Amateur, Northern Amateur or Cape Province Championship.

SAGA’s selection criteria also includes automatic selection for the top four players on the Order of Merit for an eight-man team, the top two players for a four-man team and the top player for a three-man team.

A four-man team to tour France at the end of May will be announced after the Sanlam Cape Province Championship.
