SA lose out in France
The four man team selected to play France in a return Test match narrowly lost out when they went down 3.5 to 2.5 yesterday at the Morfontaine Golf Club in Chantilly France.
South Africa trailed 1.5 – 0.5 after the foursomes with Charl Coetzee and David Hewan having halved their match. Going into the singles needing 3 out of the 4 games for a win, the team fought gallantly but came up just short halving the singles 2 all. In the singles George Coetzee was the only player able to win his game with David Hewan and Branden Grace getting halves. Charl Coetzee lost his match.
