SA Juniors welcomed in Delhi
Four young South Africans have arrived in Delhi and were treated royally at the opening ceremony of the 3rd Albatross International Junior Golf Championship being played on the outskirts of New Delhi. Pictured here are Johan Germishuys, Hayden Garcia, Michaela Fletcher and Kim Daniels
WGSA President Cynthia Rayner reports, “Fresh flower garlands were presented to all the international players, and as South Africa took top honours last year in both of the team events, the media are paying a considerable amount of attention to both Michaela Fletcher and Kim Daniels.
“There is both an individual and team event, and the South Africans, after two practice rounds, are feeling confident and enjoying the Classic Golf Resort. “First of Jack Nicklaus in South Asia”, comprises 27 holes of 3 nines each, and the players will play The Ridge and The Valley, whilst the D (8-10 year olds) and E (6-7 year olds) categories play the The Canyon.”
