Record entry for Nomads SA Champs

Champion of 2007 and 2008, 17-year old Rustenburg’s Bertine Strauss will defend her title at the Nomads SA Girls’ Championship to be played at Orkney Golf Club this weekend. 148 Girls from all 12 WGSA unions are competing in four divisions and an Under 16 stroke play championship including 47 competitors will be played concurrently over the last 36 holes of the event.

The 9 and under handicap stroke play championship is over 54 holes while all the other divisions will compete over 36 holes. Players from 19 to 33 handicaps will play an individual stableford championship.

The winner of the event will join the SA Boys’ champion at the invitational Duke of York Trophy to be played at the Dundonald Links at Loch Lomond in Setember.
