Past President Faith Daniel passes away in Durban
Women’s Golf South Africa regrets to advise that Past SALGU President Faith Daniel died in Durban earlier this week. On behalf of all the golfers who knew Faith over the years, we extend our sympathy to her daughter Barbie, son Barry and three grand children Tracey, Richard and Hannah.
Faith first served as SALGU President from 1981 to 1983 while she was living in Welkom where she and her late husband Len ran a tyre-fitment centre.
After Les passed away, Faith continued to run the business until her children had left school and she then relocated to Durban. There she served a further term as SALGU President from 1993 to 1995.
Her daughter Barbie who, lived with Faith, is Head Mistress of St Martins Pre-Primary School in Durban and Barry lives in Hilton. The funeral will take place on Tuesday 7 September at St Martins Church, off Broadway in Durban.
