Pam Hayward wins Border Stroke Play Championship

In perfect but hot conditions at East London Golf Club, Kloof Golf Club’s Pam Hayward had an almost flawless round in the morning having 17 pars and a dropped shot on the last hole to go one over. In the afternoon she dropped two and had two birdies on the first nine. On the second nine she dropped three shots and birdied one hole to end two over for the day.

Lauren Bekker, who plays out of Riviera Country Club, had a flat round in the morning with one drop and one birdie on the first nine and the same for the second nine. In the afternoon she had 3 drops on the first nine and three drops and a birdie on the second nine. She finished 4 over for the day.

Angela Trollip and Siviwe Duma shared the closed championship with scores of 78 76 and 78 76. The count out for the prize went down to the last 6 holes.
