Nicole Becker wins at Koro Creek

Vryburg’s Nicole Becker won the Limpopo Stroke Play Championship when the event was played at Koro Creek over the weekend.

Playing against a strong field on a course that had been lengthened by 200 metres to over 5600, Nicole scored three under par 141 (71, 70), two stokes ahead of Namibian junior Bonita Bredenhann on 143 (69, 74). Top SA junior Connie Chen, who only arrived back from Britain and Germany on Friday, did well to finish one shot back on 144 (74, 70).

Henriette Frylinck (73, 73) and Kim Williams (74, 72) tied in fourth place on 146.

Nicole, together with Alana van Greuning and Iliska Verwey will be travelling to Turkey in September to compete in the Turkish Amateur Championships at Antlaya, the venue of the 2012 World Amateur Championship.
