Kim Williams wins the 54 Hole Gauteng North Stroke Play Championship

Top-ranked Kim Williams (pictured) won the 54 Hole Gauteng North Stroke Championship on 217 (68, 75, 74), two strokes ahead of former top junior Bertine Strauss on 219 (75, 75, 69). Boland Junior Bianca Theron finished in third position on 221 (74, 75, 72).

The championship was played on the 72 par Irene Country Club course in Pretoria over the weekend.

The next event on the WGSA calendar is the Sanlam SA Amateur Championships to be played at Benoni Country Club from 8 to 11 July. A 36 hole qualifying round on Sunday 8 July will be followed by three days of match play, the 36 hole final being played on Wednesday 11 July.
