Kim lying fourth in the Mexican Cham[ionships

Kim Williams is tied in fourth place on 74 after the first round of the Mexican Women’s Amateur Championship which started yesterday at the Club de Golf, Vallescondido in Mexico City. She finished four shots behind the leader.

She said that she was struggling on the greens but was hitting the ball extremely well and looking forward to tomorrow’s second round. She added that the course is stunning but very long due to wet conditions.

Iliska scored a disappointing 81, but with their luggage having finally arrived, they should be more relaxed as they tackle round two today.

The championship finishes on 14 January.
