Kim and Henriette sweep the foursomes stroke play at IPT
South Africa and Gauteng North’s top pairing swept the foursomes stroke play this morning in the qualifying round of the Pick n Pay Women’s Inter-Provincial at George Golf Club.
In cold and windy conditions, Kim Williams and Henriette Frylinck carded three-under par 69, three strokes ahead of Southern Cape’s Sandra Winter and Nicole Loesch on level-par 72. One stroke back on 73 was the other Southern Cape pair of Iliska Verwey and Monique Smit. Southern Cape is hoping to gain promotion back to the A Inter-Provincial and look well on tract to do so.
The other two Gauteng North pairs did not fare as well as their top players. Nobuhle Dlamini and Carrie Park carded 85, while Biance Barnard and Emma du Bruyn signed for 81 so these players will have to pull out all the stops in this afternoon’s singles stroke play.
