Izel, Connie and Bonita lead going into the final round of the Rose Bowl
Izel Pieters continued her fprm this afternoon when she carded a 74 after her sub-par 70 this morning to tie the lead. Connie Chen added a 73 to her earlier 71 to be level with Izel, and Bonita Bredenhann signed for the low score of the tournament, a two-under-par 69 to join the other two on 144.
Joint leader after 18 holes, Lara Weinstein carded a disappointing 79 this afternoon to finish fourth and local girl, Monique Ramkisson scored a great 72 (total 150) off her nine handicap to go one ahead of Talia Nel and Bertine Strauss on 151.
13-Handicapped Chandre Roberts continued her good run, carding 83 to lead the 10 – 18 handicap division on 163, one ahead of Michelle Wears-Taylor (164) with Natasha Carlsson (16 handicap) in third place on 167.
Warm, humid conditions with very little wind made this spectacular course a joy to be on today, and the 80 junior participants are having a great tournament and making new friends in every round.
The KZN Executive and the Kloof Ladies committee deserve the highest accolade for their assistance during the tournament – they have made it all so easy for the Women’s Golf South Africa Executive.
Photos will be on this site in due course.
