Henriette Frylinck wins Gauteng North Match Play Championships

21 Year old Henriette Frylinck from Waterkloof Golf Club scored a very good 4/3 win over stroke play champion Iliska Verwey in the final round of the Gauteng North Championships played at Woodhill Country Club this week.

After being runner-up to Iliska in the stroke play, Henriette faced a tough passage to the final but picked up wins against Yushira Budhram 5/3, Kim Williams 2/1 and Nicole Carlse 1 up to take the championship.

Iliska’s passage to the final included wins over Larissa Ras 6/5, Gabby de Reuck 5/3 and Marne Roos 3/2.

Both finalists are part of the training squad from which the team to the next World Amateur Team Championships will be selected.
