Frittelli shoots 66 to secure a place in the US Amateur Match Play Section

Dylan Frittelli, the only South African in the US Amateur being played at Erin Hills, Winsconsin, followed his opening round 76 (4 over) with a superb 66 (6 under) round to move 100 positions down the leaderboard and secure his place in the top 64 which will mean that he will get to compete in the Match Play section of the 111th US Amateur Championships.

Frittelli who hails from Irene Country Club in Pretoria has represented South Africa in both the 2008 and 2010 Eisenhower Trophy’s and won the Freddie Tait Cup, for leading amateur at the SA Open, at Pearl Valley in 2009 won his qualifying section for the US Amateur with a two round total of 139 (5 under).
