Frittelli misses the cut in Joburg Open

Dylan FrittelliDylan Frittelli did not capitalise on his excellent first round score in the Joburg Open, played at Royal Johannesburg & Kensington Golf Club, in Johannesburg over the weekend. He recorded a second round of 76, five over par, and missed the 36 hole cut.

The talented Univesity ofTexas freshman, where is majoring in Georgraphy, finished with a 36 hole aggregate of 144, two over par, four shots adrift the cut score.

The nineteen year old from Irene Country Club went out in 39 and came back in 37 recording four bogeys and a double bogey, on the fourth hole, along with a solitary birdie, on the ninth. He played his second round on the more challenging East Course.

Frittelli finished as the leading amateur, which is of no consolation as none made the cut.

The Joburg Open is a professional golf tournament staged by both the Sunshine and European Tours.
