Frittelli in top 10 on World Amateur Golf Rankings

Dylan Frittelli, who has recently finished his four year stint in College in America, finds himself as the 9th ranked Amateur on the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR), a system run by the R&A.

Dylan, who has long been regarded as a future star of South African Golf, will along with team mate Jordan Spieth (WAGR Number 3), be competing in the NCAA Men’s Division 1 Golf Championship at Riviera from 29 May to 3 June 2012.

The only other SA players who find themselves in the Top 100 of the WAGR are current SA number 1 Brandon Stone (34), Johan de Beer (74)and CJ du Plessis (97).

Johan de Beer will also be competing alongside Frittelli in next weeks NCAA Championships at Riviera as one of the top players from Texas Christian University (TCU).

Brandon Stone and Haydn Porteous will have their eyes on the WAGR as in the next few months while they compete in the UK as, for the first time ever, the USGA will give exemptions into the US Amateur to any player who is in the Top 50 of the WAGR as of closing date (27 June 2012).
