Fritelli heads SA Rankings

Dean O'RileyDylan Frittelli, 17 year old Irene Gauteng North amateur, heads the South African Golf Association’s (SAGA) Player Rankings released this week, with 32.0052 average points. Closing up on the leader, only 0.2 average points back, is Ekurhuleni’s Dean O’Riley (pictured on the right), followed by, a good 5 points back in 3rd place, Western Province’s Adrian Ford.

Frittelli, the current World Junior Champion, has been a model of consistency finishing in the top ten places in the last six ranking tournaments in which he has participated. The Irene Country Club member’s best result is 2nd in the Kwazulu Natal Open at the end of January this year.

The talented 18 year old Benoni Lake Golf Club member Dean O’Riley won the Kwazulu Natal Open and finished second in the Guateng North Open the following weekend. He too has played steadily recording four top ten finishes in his last six ranking tournaments he has played in.

The biggest mover in the top 20 places on the SAGA Rankings is the winner of the Free State & Northern Cape Open, played last weekend, 22 year old South African Amateur Stroke Play Champion, Jacques Blaauw. He moves up 5 places to 12th in the ranking, with 17.5889 points.
