Friday’s play called off after heavy rain
There was no play on Friday, in the Juan Carlos Tailhade Cup, due to heavy rainfall over the Los Lagartos Country Club, situated outside Buenos Aires in Argentina.
Play, in the 72 hole international amateur stroke play tournament, was suspended for the whole day. The second round will now be played today (Saturday).
The South African pairing of Adrian Ford and Derik Ferreira, who are two shots off the pace in the team competition after the first round, will tee off at 13h50 and have been paired with hosts Argentina. There is a cut after the conclusion of the second round.
The organisers have not confirmed whether or not their intention is to play 36 holes on Sunday, the last scheduled day of the tournament, or to reduce the competition to 54 holes.
