Free State and KZN continue to shine

Round three of the South African Interprovincial is underway and the fairways at Durban Country Club are still a vision of rain suits and umbrellas but the incessant rain has had no effect on A-Section leaders, Kwazulu-Natal and Free State and Northern Cape.

The local favourites wrapped up this morning’s foursomes against Gauteng North with a 3-1 win, while the Free Staters gave defending champions Western Province a 4-0 drumming which puts both teams on course for three successive scalps in this competition.

In a closely fought contest against Central Gauteng, Boland won three of their four matches with 2 & 1 results.

In the B-Section, Border, Ekurhuleni, Mpumalanga and Limpopo enjoy a bye, but there is still plenty of action between joint leaders Eastern Cape and North West, playing Southern Cape.

EP and Northwest drew 2-all but both sides got beaten by Southern Cape 3 ½ – 1 ½.
