Final day dawns on the 2006 Challenge Cup

Entering the final days play the Tournament is still open and results on the final day will determine the winners of both sections.

In the B section, Southern Cape face their final hurdle in the Presidents Team, to attempt to win the B section infront of a home crowd. Leading the section by two points from KwaZulu Natal, a draw against the Presidents Team will be enough to secure the promotion into the A section for the 2007 event. KwaZulu Natal will be hoping for a Presidents Team win however, which will then see KZN having to beat Gauteng North by a large margin to secure the title for themselves.

In the A section, Mpumalanga take on Limpopo and Boland take on neighbouring rivals Western Province in matchups that could see any of Mpumalanga, Boland or Western Province climb to the top of the Log. With log leaders Central Gauteng, having there day off on Friday they will not hold to much hope of staying at the top of the Log as they start the day a slender one point ahead of Boland and Mpumalanga. Limpopo will play today for Provincial Union pride as relagation to the B section is a guarantee.
