Els for Autism opens a Computer Learning Centre

Ernie Els working in South Africa! The Els for Autism Foundation opened the Els for Autism Computer Learning Centre in January of this year. Located in Johannesburg, the Centre provides lower resourced families of children with autism with free access to a highly-effective online and learning development programme, along with facilitated support from a trained professional.

The Els for Autism Computer Learning Centre is the first international link between the digital learning aspect of the Els for Autism Centre of Excellence in Florida, USA, where the Els family currently reside. “Our goal is provide parents who cannot access autism-specific education with a resource that allows them to take control of their child’s intervention,” says Kerri-Lyn Kelly, Head Facilitator at the Els for Autism Centre. “We believe that there are parents in our community who desperately want to do something for child, but simple do not know how. Our programme allows for these parents to have the knowledge, support and structure they need to significantly enhance their child’s prognosis.”
