29 April 2023 – Excitement is mounting as we draw closer to cut-off date of the 2023 GolfRSA Race to The R&A 9 Hole Challenge at Royal Liverpool ahead of the 151st Open Championship this July!
GolfRSA is delighted to announce the draw procedure that will determine who the two lucky winners are who will join golfers from Great Britain, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand in The R&A 9-Hole Challenge Final, to be played on the Friday prior to the Open. The winning duo will also receive tickets to watch two practice days and two championship days of The Open and this wonderful prize also includes airfare, hotel accommodation subsidy, green fees and a subsistence allowance.
“Our scoring partners, Albratros Golf Solutions will provide the list of entrants who meet the minimum requirements, with Handicaps Network Africa supervising the process,” explained GolfRSA CEO Grant Hepburn.
“We will be utilising a random number generator to draw the names, and the draw will be overseen by members of the GolfRSA Executive and senior management. Once the list of names has been generated, the winners will be contacted by GolfRSA to verify, and confirm their ability to attend the event in Liverpool. We will then officially announce the two South Africans that will be representing us for the first time at The R&A 9 Hole Challenge Final.”
Golfers still have a couple of days to make the 30 April deadline.
