Winning Netherlands team from the left Floris de Vries and Reiner SaxtonAfter playing themselves into a strong position, the South African amateur golf team sank to the bottom of the leaderboard after the final round of the 54 hole Juan Carlos Tailhade Cup, being played at the Los Lagartos County Club, outside Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The rain interrupted stroke play tournament included an individual and team competitions. With the best two scores counting, in the International Team Competition, South Africa were disqualified when Derik Ferreira, 19 year old player from Centurion Country Club, signed for an incorrect score, on conclusion of his round.
