Connie lying third in Germany

Erica Lefson reports from Golfclub Heddeshein, Gut Neuzenhof: “Today was a great day for Connie. She played good golf but still feels she could have done better. This is not an easy course – not that long but tight. She drove the green at the 4th – this is like threading a needle – just luck if you miss all the bunkers but she three putted that green and again at the 9th. However she boxed two long putts on consecutive holes for birdies.

“Yushira Budhram shot a solid 76 after her 80 the previous day. She played hard and well for her score and when she was off line, she was able to get up and down in two.

“The temperature for the final round is expected to be up in the 30’s – perfect weather with very little wind – good for low scoring.”
