Coetzee and Grace remain in form

George Coetzee and Branden Grace remain the inform players with their victories in the last few weeks.

Following on his SA Amateur Stroke play victory and subsequent selection to the SA Zone VI side Branden Grace earned exemption into the British Amateur Championship courtesy of his 2 shot victory over Jbe Kruger in the Boland Open. This he followed with a tied third place, 5 shots off the pace in the Western Province Amateur Stroke Play. Branden has, as a result of his current form also been named in the 4 man team to travel to France as well as part of the 6 man squad from which the Eisenhower team wil be selected.

George Coetzee (named along side Grace in the 4 man team) continued to remind the selectors of his ability. Having been dropped from the SA team due to poor form, George has responded in the best manner by taking victory in the Northern Amateur early in April (including a 2nd place in the Stroke Play) a 7th place in the Boland Open and this weekend completed a comfortable 3 shot victory in the Western Province Amateur Stroke Play.

David Hewan, followed his victory in the Swaziland Amateur Open by a Top 10 finish in the Boland Open and a second spot in the Western Province Amateur Stroke Play.
