In testing conditions, Nobuhle secured a 3 shot lead from Kim Williams going into the final round after shooting a one-under-par 71 in Round 2 on Sunday morning. With birdies on the first two holes Nobhule stretched the lead, but Kim came back with a birdie on the third hole.
Kim played consistent par golf from holes 9 to 16, and with Nobuhle dropping shots on the 10th, 13th and 16th holes, meant only two shots separated them as they teed off on the 17th hole. The 17th hole proved particularly challenging for both players.
On the 18th hole, a good approach shot saw Kim lying pin high on the edge off the green, whilst Nobuhle’s shot in unluckily spun off the green and rolled down the bank. With the hole not visible Nobuhle chipped in for birdie to secure the title, whilst Kim finished with a par.
