Haickney to meet Higgo at SA Boys U-19 Match Play
He needed an extra hole to get the job done, but Reece Haickney dispatched Karabo Mokoena at the 19th hole to make the top 16 in the Nomads SA Boys U-19 Match Play Championship on Thursday.
The Randpark junior could be in for another tough tussle, though, as he faces Garrick Higgo from Boland at Bloemfontein Golf Club this afternoon.

The tournament, played in recognition of the career of South African women’s golf legend Sally Little, is the fourth on this year’s Glacier Junior Series and the second in the Western Cape.
Germishuys soars to SA Boys U-19 Champs victory
An eagle finish in the third round was the kicker that helped Western Province junior Deon Germishuys claim the Nomads SA Boys U-19 Stroke Play Championship title in Bloemfontein on Wednesday.
The Strand golfer posted rounds of 70, 71, 69 and 70 at Bloemfontein Golf Club to edge out reigning Nomads SA Boys U-19 Match Play champion Ross Sinclair by one stroke with a winning total of eight-under-par 280.
Manchest motors to SA Boys U-19 lead
Southern Cape’s Franklin Manchest fired three birdies around the turn Bloemfontein Golf Club to surge into the second round lead at the Nomads SA Boys U-19 Stroke Play Championship on Tuesday.
The George golfer fired a five under 67 to move to seven-under-par 137. Manchest leads by one from Ross Sinclair from Gauteng North and will start the third round three strokes clear of first round pacesetter Martin Vorster.
Du Toit and Mclachlan victorious in Reunion
Tshwane juniors Danielle du Toit and Keegan Mclachlan celebrated a double South African victory in the 2016 World Amateur Golf Audi Reunion on Reunion Island on Monday. Du Toit claimed a runaway victory in the Ladies Championship in a wire-to-wire performance at the magnificent Golf Du Bassin Blue, while Mclachlan edged out fellow Gauteng North amateurs Albert Venter and Albert van der Knaap to lift the Mens Championship title.
