Nobuhle is KZN Match Play Champion
Former South African Match Play Champion, Nobuhle Dlamini added another trophy to her already overflowing cabinet when she won the 2012 KwaZulu Natal match play championship at Maritzburg Golf Club yesterday.
Lara celebrates a great six under par victory in KZN
After her nine-stroke landslide victory at the KwaZulu Natal Stroke Play Championships played yesterday at Maritzburg Golf Club, 17-year old Lara Weinstein must be a firm favourite to pick up the coveted Nomads SA Girls’ Rose Bowl at Pearl Valley Golf Estate next week.
Nicole Loesch wins match play at Royal Cape

Fifteen-year old wins first Provincial title
Fifteen-year-old Se Young Chun 75-75 (150) lifted the champion’s trophy when she outplayed the field at the Western Province Championships played at Royal Cape Golf Club. This is Chun’s first provincial title.
Scots give back at SAGDB clinic in Soweto
Over the past six weeks, the Scottish Golf Union National Men’s Squad has had a highly successful run competing on South Africa’s amateur circuit.
The visitors not only won a Test against South Africa at Leopard Creek and beat a South African Golf Development Board (SAGDB) team and an SA Junior side at the annual Triangular at Randpark, but Brian Soutar also clinched the country’s most prestigious amateur title when he beat Brandon Stone in a tightly contested battle at the Sanlam SA Amateur Championship at Mowbray Golf Club.
Nobuhle Dlamini wins second Privincial Championship of 2012
In a storm interrupted and subsequently shortened tournament, Gauteng North’s Nobuhle Dlamini won the 2012 North West championship on a two-under par 70 with Alana Van Greuning (Mpumalanga) winning the count-out into second place from top-ranked Kim Williams, both players returning level par 72.

Lara wins KeNako World Juniors, carding seven birdies in the final round
Going into the final round of the KeKako World Juniors, played at Kingswood Golf Estate his week, top SA junior Lara Weinstein was one behind the leader Boland’s Olivia le Roux. Seven birdies later, she lifted the winner’s trophy and also the girls’ team trophy with team member Bianca Theron.
SA teams seek double glory at Africa tournaments
Soweto’s Musi Nethunzwi and Gert Myburgh from Benoni will make their debut in South Africa’s title defence at the Africa Zone VI Golf Championships in Malawi while four of the country’s top junior golfers will fly the flag for South Africa at the All-Africa Junior Golf Championship in Botswana this April.

Soutar wins Sanlam SA Amateur Championship
For a second successive year, the Scottish flag was raised at the Sanlam South African Amateur Championship after Fife golfer Brian Soutar beat South Africa’s Brandon Stone for the country’s most coveted amateur title on Friday.
