Swaziland’s Nobuhle Dlamini equalled and then bettered the 73 par Bryanston Country Club course record this week when she won the Nomads Gauteng 36-hole stroke play championship with a brilliant nine-under-par 137 (69, 68).
Top SA Junior Lara Weinstein continued her recent good form to win the Durban Regional Championships played at Mount Edgecombe Country Club yesterday. Playing in superb KZN winter weather with only a slight breeze off the sea, the teenager returned a four over 148 to win the event by two strokes from Alana van Greuning. Continuing the form displayed at the Astor Trophy when she won all her singles matches and defeated the world number one amateur in the world, Kim Williams lifted the Gauteng North Match Play Trophy yesterday, having won the Stroke Play Trophy earlier in the week.
