Two secretarial positions to be filled in WGSA
WGSA Secretary Paddy Goodwin retires in April 2012 and with the growth in Women’s Golf over the past five years it has been decided to split the current position of SECRETARY into two positions.
Nobuhle Dlamini wins on -9 and a new course record
Swaziland’s Nobuhle Dlamini equalled and then bettered the 73 par Bryanston Country Club course record this week when she won the Nomads Gauteng 36-hole stroke play championship with a brilliant nine-under-par 137 (69, 68).
Lara wins in Durban
Top SA Junior Lara Weinstein continued her recent good form to win the Durban Regional Championships played at Mount Edgecombe Country Club yesterday. Playing in superb KZN winter weather with only a slight breeze off the sea, the teenager returned a four over 148 to win the event by two strokes from Alana van Greuning. Cecil Wells, former SAGF President, dies
The South African Golf Association (SAGA) mourns the passing of one of it’s former Presidents, Cecil Wells.
Aged 81, Cecil passed away in Pretoria on Thursday 7 July after a short illness.
Kim Williams picks up double on home turf

Another Theron victory – this time Carina Theron wins Senior Ladies Champs
Former Free State and Northern Cape President Carina Theron won the 2011 Senior Ladies Championship by 10 strokes from Mpumalanga’s Melrise Ungerer when the event was played in June at Woodhill and Wingate Park Country Clubs.
