Maseko qualifies for Egyptian Open after finishing 3rd in Egyptian Amateur

South Africa's Thabo Maseko needed to make a par on the last hole of the 2010 Egyptian Amateur to make the playoff but he recorded a bogey on the difficult 18th hole and finished in third place hence qualifying to play in the 2010 Egyptian Open which forms part of the European Challenge Tour. Maseko recorded rounds of 69 75 and 73 for a three round total of 217.

Although expected to take the 50th Pick n Pay SA Women’s Inter-Provincial trophy home, the victorious Gauteng North Daisies totally overwhelmed runners-up, North West with a 8 -1 win on the final day, losing only one foursomes when Nicole Becker and Bertine Strauss beat Kim Williams and Henriette Frylinck 4/3.
