Lara Weinstein won the 54 hole Tanzanian Women's Amateur Championship played at the TPC Club in Kilamanjaro from 4 - 6 December, four strokes ahead of Swaziland's Nobuhle Dlamini.

One hundred and ninety seven amateur golfers, a record number, have entered the 2010 South African Amateur Stroke Play Championship announced the South African Golf Association (SAGA) today.

The South African Open Championship will return to Durban Country Club for the centenary edition of the championship in 2010.

Dylan Frittelli played controlled golf for his one over par final round of 73, giving him a 72 hole total of 288, level par, and in so doing win the Freddie Tait Cup as the leading amateur in the South African Open Championship.

Nineteen year old amateur Dylan Frittelli played steadily for his 72 today, to finish with a 54 hole total of 215, one under par, after the third round of the South African Open Championship. He is three shots clear of the next best amateur.

Three of the five amateurs playing in the South African Open Championship managed to survive the cut at the end of the second round which concluded today. They are Dylan Frittelli, JG Claassen and Ryan Dreyer.
