SA take Zone VI in dominant fashion

Jacques BlaauwIt was not a clean sweep but nonetheless a dominating performance by the South Africans today, winning six of their eight matches, halving one and losing another in the final round of the Zone VI played at Ndola Golf Club, Zambia.

South Africa won the event with a total of 22.5 points, out of a possible 24, 8 points clear of their nearest rivals Zimbabwe.

Ferreira knocking in the winning puttDerik Ferreira continued to show that he deserves his 7th place ranking on the World Amateur Golf Rankings and the number 1 spot on the SA Rankings when he won the North West Amateur Open at Rustenburg Golf over the weekend.
